Algida,
Hall, contessa von Sharone, bellissima e nobile ereditiera.
trova ogni giorno a combattere l’ottusità collettiva, cercando nello
a comprendere questa nostra passione, e francamente me ne infischio
altamente.
mirabilmente.

Translation of the Review
An Unforgetteble Lady
Jessica Bird
Icy,
elegant, haughty and inaccessible: this is what they see John Smith's
eyes when you pose for the first time on Grace Hall, Countess von
Sharone, beautiful and noble heiress. But Grace, despite being a
successful woman and a public figure, is actually a very simple person
who is very different from formal and false ways of good society, which
belongs by birth, lives with his fears and uncertainties, and with his
fragility, showing the world just a part of herself, the woman's rigid,
inflexible and self-confident, a role that serves to keep the chair of
president and CEO of Foundation Hall, inherited his father's death.
Despite having good friends and some problems in private life, the
workplace is that his life is suffering bumps and the administrative
council of the society, in fact, does not believe that she is able to
pick up his inheritance, and so is every day to fight collective
stupidity, trying at the same time to prove its validity as president of
the foundation.
John
Smith, is a bodyguard, a former military man, dangerous, granite,
authoritarian, aloof, a true alpha male, with a troubled past behind
him, a man who does not trust anything or anyone.
His
job is to protect the lives of people who take it, and does so in a
detached way, without any emotional involvement ... until he meets
Grace.
When
the woman's life is threatened by a serial killer, Grace is persuaded
by friends to hire a bodyguard, a role he will play right John, despite
their first meeting was in fact a clash, the obvious attraction that
prove ' for each other will be a problem for the bodyguard, who do not
accept any flaw in his mission, with total detachment which is to
protect those who take it.
Work,
will only work ... Easier said than put into practice; controversies,
arguments, approaches and departures, mark the days of John and Grace,
wrapped more and more of their physical attractiveness. Under pressure
from the danger to his person, Grace is deeply emotionally attracted by
his bodyguard, who refuses to clear the emotional effort for his client,
feeling increasingly threatened by a feeling that he can not control
anymore. The sexual tension between the two has no peace ...
Grace
Hall and John Smith, one of the protagonists of the first works by
Jessica Bird, aka JRWard, writer worshiped as a goddess, that also in
this book applies his magic, the characters are wonderful in my opinion.
I can not help but delight me know about them, some of them are similar
in abundance in the romance, but I think every character as resembling
another, capable of delivering a unique self. Despite the erotic scenes
are weaker than those which the Ward has accustomed us to the characters
of the brotherhood, the sensuality of the scenes described is equally
exciting, thanks to the good translator that, although I have not read
the book in the language, I think has captured the original style.
When
I do a review, I do not like revealing too much, I think is not fair to
those who have not read the book, so I will not reveal more. I am
increasingly grateful to the publisher who decided to translate this
book, and I hope he can do it with the previous year and the third,
whose main character is half-sister Grace. My God, what is good for the
heart and soul with a good book! Read our mind goes in that fantasy
world of dreams and emotions that unfortunately can not give us
everyday, not everyone can understand our passion, and frankly I do not
care highly. To us, dear friends of readings, albeit with different
tastes, we share a passion for good books! But what's best in the world,
if you do not sit on the couch after a long day at work, with a good
cup of tea, a scented candle burning that does so much atmosphere, and a
good book? Perhaps only the Nutella .... And believe me, if you want to
dream, and sigh excite you read this novel ... but please, do not you
also fall in love with John Smith, he is a man of one woman, a woman
unforgettable!
J. R. Ward,
alias Jessica Bird, debuted in 2002 in the contemporary genre with a
memorable woman who is an intense romance with a touch of suspense,
without anything of the paranormal, focused on the relationship, the
interaction between the characters, that Bird can describe admirably.
